Tragic Loss Strikes Television Industry: Renowned Actor Nitesh Pandey Passes Away


The television industry is reeling from a series of devastating losses as it bids farewell to three remarkable individuals within a short span of time. Following the untimely departures of Aditya Singh Rajput and Vaibhavi Upadhyay, another heart-wrenching news has surfaced, revealing the passing of actor Nitesh Pandey. Pandey, well-known for his portrayal of Dheeraj Kapoor in the popular TV show "Anupamaa," tragically succumbed to a cardiac arrest at the age of 51. The unfortunate incident occurred while he was in Igatpuri, Mumbai.


Nitesh Pandey, who last graced the screen on Star Plus' highly acclaimed series "Anupamaa," breathed his last in Igatpuri, Maharashtra, following a sudden cardiac arrest. Esteemed producer JD Majethia, who had the privilege of working closely with Nitesh, confirmed this devastating news to indianexpress.com. Majethia stated, "Nitesh was in Igatpuri when he suffered a cardiac arrest. He passed away around 2 am."


According to ANI, Pandey was discovered lifeless at his hotel, prompting an ongoing investigation by the police into the circumstances of his death. The news agency reported, "TV actor Nitesh Pandey found dead at a hotel in Igatpuri, Nashik, Maharashtra. The preliminary cause of death appears to be a heart attack. The police are present at the hotel, conducting an investigation. The postmortem report is awaited. The hotel staff and individuals close to him are being questioned."




Nitesh Pandey had dedicated nearly 25 years of his life to the entertainment industry, excelling in television, theater, and cinema. He embarked on his career in the early 1990s, primarily focusing on theater before making notable appearances in various television shows. His repertoire included renowned programs such as "Tejas," "Manzilein Apani Apani," "Saaya," "Astitva Ek Prem Kahani," "Justajoo," and "Durgesh Nandini." Furthermore, he established his own production house. His noteworthy contributions extended to the silver screen, with memorable roles in films like "Badhaai Do," "Om Shanti Om," and "Khosla Ka Ghosla," among others. "Anupamaa" and "Pyar Ka Dard Hai Meetha Meetha Pyara Pyara" marked his final appearances on television.
